Tin Whistle

Small but mighty. The tin whistle, sometimes called the "pennywhistle" is a 6-holed fipple flute. Tin whistles come in a range of keys, but the key commonly used for traditional music is D. It's a great instrument for starting your journey into Irish music as they're generally modest in price for factory-made brands, though high-end handmade whistles can cost into the $100's.
